Uyi Omoregie

Principal Analyst/Co-Founder




Uyiosa Omoregie, is the senior research fellow/principal analyst. He also attended West Buckland School, in England, U.K. He is an alumnus of the University of London with the London School of Economics (LSE) as lead college. Uyi previously worked for about a decade as a research analyst in a leading consultancy firm and in industry.  He is a member of the IEEE Information Theory Society. He is also a member of the Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR)  and The Credibility Coalition (CredCo). CredCo is an international research community focused on the quality, credibility and veracity of information found online.  He is a reviewer for the Harvard Kennedy School Misinformation Review journal and the Journal of Information Science (SAGE Publishing). Uyi is a member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT Technology Review Global Panel and the Canadian Academy of Independent Scholars. He joined the Internet Society in 2021, an international nonprofit advocacy organization founded in 1992, Its mission is "to promote the open development, evolution, and use of the Internet for the benefit of all people throughout the world." He is the co-author of the book Online Misinformation Analysis and Information Quality Theory (2021)
